Dear Raju,
I am glad to receive your letter. You have written me about the prize giving ceremony of your college and wished to know about ours. I am glad to let you know that our annual prize giving ceremony came off yesterday. On this occasion we decorated our college campus very nicely. The ceremony began at 2 pm. Our Principal presided over the function and the Education Minister was the chief guest.
The function started with the recitation from the holy Quran. One of our senior teachers read out the annual report. The honourable chief guest delivered a brief encouraging speech, advised us to be regular in studies and take part in the movement against illiteracy. Then he gave away the prizes among us. I myself got three prizes.
Then the president of the function delivered his speech. He congratulated the prize winners and consoled others. The Principal also expressed his heart-felt thanks to the chief guest. The ceremony came to an end. No more today.
